In case you haven't been living under a rock that's special enough to block wi-fi, you know about the sweet heresy that is the Ferrari-powered Toyota GT86. Aptly named the GT-4586, the contraption serves as Formula Drift driver Ryan Tuerck's four-wheeled partner and the slip angle tool has recently had its first public road test.
The togue shenanigan, which took place in Portland, Oregon, kicked off with a bang and we mean that in a literal sense. We are kidding you not - during the first shot of the session, the hybrid tried to... go mountain climbing.

The crew capturing the whole thing on camera, which was using a Ferrari 458 Spider for the fun of it, was stunned to see the pro drifter getting closer and closer to the edge of the road and eventually crashing.

Fortunately, drift cars are much more prepared for such events compared to supercars, which meant that, after some servicing attention, things kept rolling.

As you can imagine, the best part of the adventure we have here comes from the aural realm. The typical Maranello scream of the V8 that now occupies the nose of the Toyobaru can be heard throughout the climb.

Unlike the vast majority of powerplants that serve pro drifters' machines, the 4.5-liter mill we have here has kept its natural aspiration. And with Tuerck having to stay high in the rev range in order for the torque to help him steer with the throttle, the powerplant gets to fully express its feelings and emotions.

Warning: if you happen to belong to the purist camp, you'd better stay away from the clip below. Not only will you get to see a Toyota animated by a Prancing Horse motor, but, as you might've guessed by now, the Italian V8 gets pretty close to the... scenery in the accident portrayed here.
