Ryan Fowler’ Aventador Gets the Underground Racing Treatment, Madness Unleashes

You can look at this twin-turbo Lamborghini Aventador, or you can raise the volume, sit back, close your eyes, and listen to that roar. Imagine this: the 0 to 62 mph time from a standstill is under 3 seconds. Ryan Fowler may have played as a linebacker throughout his NFL career, but this beast he just customized will inevitably bring him into the front line.

The time he spent with the New York Jets clearly paid off, considering Fowler is a Lamborghini Aventador driver. Moreover, he’s not the typical sports star who buys expensive supercars; it would seem he also knows a thing or two about the aftermarket industry.

Most of you petrolheads have probably heard of Underground Racing, one of US’s most aggressive tuners. When their engineers put their minds into a project, the words slowly evaporate into some unknown vocabulary abyss. The discussion here relates to figures that regularly surpass the 1,000 horsepower mark and this murdered-out Raging Bull makes no exception.

The folks over at the garage said they took the supercar through their 1R Twin Turbo system, which means they installed a $96,000 worth upgrade. The Stage 1 Aventador Twin Turbo System with Modified Engine involves raising the power to 1,000 wheel-horsepower, and it all comes under a two-year or 24,000-mile warranty. Here’s how the garage details their project:

“This build comes with a completely built race spec short block including billet connecting rods, custom CP race pistons and much more. Also, this build comes with our custom clutch, billet flywheel, billet axles, front and rear billet differentials. As always, for tuning it has the M1 MoTeC ecu with Underground Racing custom firmware and Plug & Play ECU harness setup by John Reed Racing.”

Perhaps all these figures sound rather technical for some of you kind people, in which case we recommend clicking the play button bellow and enjoying the view.
