RWB 992 Porsche 911 Looks So Fat, Has Huge Wing

We can't talk about a tuning market for the 992 Porsche 911. Make no mistake, though, it won't take long until aftermarket developers start rolling out upgrades for the 2020 Neunelfer.

Meanwhile, the world wide web is already dreaming about wildly tuned incarnations of the eighth-generation 911. And what could be wilder than a RWB take on the rear-engined machine?

I must stress out that we're dealing with a rendering here, so nobody has cut into the fenders of this six-figure sportscar to install fatter ones.

Karan Adivi is the digital artist behind this work. And, fortunately, the pixel wielder has taken the time to come up with multiple angles of the Rauh-Welt Begriff Neunelfer. As such, you should make sure to use the swipe feature of the Instagram post below to enjoy the complete eye candy.

Now, as the die-hard tuning lovers among you are well aware, RWB builds are also famous thanks to their liveries. And this is a brilliant opportunity to remind you the said label has rendered other Rauh-Welt Begriff projects in the past, with these also based on the 992. For instance, here's one that vawes the Stella Artois bannes - this was the livery chosen by the RWB build that started it all, as we discussed back in April.

Things are also changing in the real world

Sure, expecting a RWB kit to land on a brand spanking new Porsche 911 might seem like a bit of a stretch. But the truth is that the Japanese developer has recently updated its ways.

You see, Akira Nakai, the aficionado who basically runs RWB as a one-man show, has started working on a 997. This was the first water-cooled Porsche in the history of the tuner, which had only massaged air-cooled models in the past.

So we might just have to wait and see where this new widebody path leads.
