We've seen other DIY Russian trike projects, but they did not fare too well, for various reasons.
Here's one more trike, this time based on a very serious 2-stroke IZH motorcycle. These bikes have quite a history in the former Soviet space in Europe and Asia, and reliability is one of their middle names, as unlikely as it may seem for some of you.
While the performance specs in stock state is nothing to write home about, various tweaks and "home-made enhancements" improved riding the IZH Planeta machines. Still, these bikes are resilient and dependable... and easy and cheap to repair when they go down.
We'd rather try not to anticipate how would this trike ride and turn, because lyrics come into mind, and they rime with “911”. However, if “wheelies” is the name of the game, then this trike is one of the best toys.
