Leave it to Russians to build an 80-foot (25-meter) Lamborghini sculpture embodying a Gallardo the size of a house. Also leave it to Russians to try and kill it with fire.
Yes, we know, the intro above doesn't sound like one that comes from the world we live in, and yet we assure you there's nothing fictional about it.

The sculpture came to the world last year, being commissioned by Russian oligarch Suleyman Abusaidovich Kerimov for the football stadium of FC Anji, the team he owns (we'll get back to the background of the structure shortly).

Multiple local sources report the sculpture was the target of a recent arson attack. The Raging Bull symbol caught fire, as you can see in the video below. Fortunately, the firefighters managed to arrive at the scene in time to keep the damage to the minimum.

While the sculpture was obviously affected by the fire, there doesn't appear to be any sign of significant damage. In fact, the billionaire already plans to have the sculpture fixed, so we expect the world's largest Lamborghini to return to its shiny form soon.

Returning to the reason behind FC Anji's owner's decision to build a V10 supercar of such size, it all has to do with celebrating his team's return to Russia's equivalent of the Premier League.

The team, which had been acquired by the oligarch back in 2011, has had its ups and downs, but with its return under the spotlights last year, the sculpture was, apparently, the best way to celebrate.

While fiery incidents such as the one described here are not good occasions for humor, be it dark or not, it's difficult not to watch the clip below and think this is the world's largest Lamborghini fire. Which only brings the sculpture closer to its inspiration.
