The “Rush” movie is said to be the next great Formula One-themed motion picture to be released after Studio Canal’s “Senna” documentary put on the big screen back in 2010.
The movie covers the fierce rivalry between British McLaren driver James Hunt and Austrian Ferrari “jockey” Niki Lauda. Yes, the action is placed in the mid 1970s revolves around the accident that almost killed Lauda.
Directed by Ron Howard, the film that features Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl will hit the theaters on September 13, but its first trailer is already here to open our appetites. Just scroll below to watch it.
For those less familiar with Formula One, James Hunt spent seven years racing in the famous competition, retiring with one World Championship, 10 wins and 23 podiums out of 92 starts. Austrian driver Niki Lauda was more successful, grabbing three titles, 25 wins and 54 podiums from 171 starts. He had two stints in F1, totaling 13 years.
