It’s been 16 years since BMW revealed the so-called E38 L7 model, an extra-long version of the 7 Series, meant to give its customers even more room in the back. The L7 was 25 centimeters (10 inches) longer after the B-Pillar than the regular 750iL which was already big enough.
The car was also fitted with every possible optional feature and a V12 engine under the bonnet, all in the search for the ultimate luxury vehicle from BMW, before taking over Rolls-Royce.

According to Bimmertoday, the L7 is going to make a comeback with the new generation, codenamed G11. Word reached them that an extra-long wheelbase model might be in development, meant to take on the Pullman S-Class that could take over the Chinese market, the world’s biggest at the moment.

At the same time, with such a vehicle, BMW would force Mercedes to drop its prices for the Pullman, as right now they are rumored to go as high as EUR300,000 and rival Rolls-Royce (but only in prices).

Of course, China would be the biggest market for such a car, but other countries might also receive it, if the car will eventually get the green light.
