French helmet designer and manufacturer Ruby is showing a different helmet concept, especially created to match the striking silhouette of another French project: the Peugeot electric race car dubbed the EX1.
Since we've already mentioned the word “match”, it's small wonder to see a stunning approach for the helmet, so simple and yet so stunning. Ruby has ever been producing anything but your common helmet, so seeing this one can only make us gasp in awe, again.
While some claim the new concept resembles too much to the helmet Bobba Fett wore in Star Wars, we see no impediment in saying it looks really awesome, SW fans or not.
Now, on a more technical side, we should stress that this new Ruby helmet offers much of the convenience brought in by modular headgear, but mixes it with the top-shelf protection full-face helmets are famous for.
We're not that sure we like the gold carbon fiber finish, but if this helmet ever makes it into production (pretty please!) we just know Ruby will have the niftiest colors available, just as they do now.
