18 months have passed since Royal Enfield announced their new Continental GT Cafe-Racer at the Audio Expo Delhi 2012, but it looks like the Enfield fans' wait has finally come to an end: according to Bikernet, the new bike will makes it to Europe in October this year.
Promising to be the most powerful motorcycle in the Royal Enfield line-up, the Continental GT Cafe-Racer is expected to deliver some 30 hp from its 535cc engine. At the same time, the new machine will sports several improvements over what Royal Enfield used to endo their bikes with, and we're positive the feel will be much better with the piggyback gas-charged shocks.
We do believe that the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cafe-Racer will sell quite well among the retro bike enthusiasts as it is as close as it gets to a true vintage cafe-racer. The heritage of the brand precedes the new bike and with the enhanced performance brought in by the revised engine, we cam expect this nifty beast to ride even better that it looks.
Rumor has it that the bike will reach Europe and the US with a price tag under $8,000 (€6,070) and in case October proves this right, we might be looking at really nice sales figures before the end of the year.
