Rowan Atkinson Seen Driving His McLaren F1: Price Too Big to Sell?

When he bought this rare breed, Mr Bean already knew that there’s going to be some sort of a bound between him and his new £640,000 ($960,000) sportscar. Two car accidents later (with one being a major crash worth $1.44 million in repairs) Rowan Atkinson decided to sell his McLaren F1. That happened months ago and now here he is still driving the beast. Is the car not good enough to sell?

The 60-year old actor seems to have reached a dead end so far with his McLaren F1 sale ad, since he was spotted driving his burgundy beauty around Central London the other day. Sure, it might as well be the last driving sessions, some sort of a good-bye trip the Mr. Bean actor is doing, especially that we all know how much he cares for it.

Like we previously reported, the one of only 63 ever built model (in standard specification) is extremely valuable not only for that, but also because it had just one owner since it was bought. In fact Atkinson officially admitted he is quite fond of the sportscar and finds it pretty hard to let go of his 635 bhp, 6.1-liter V12 BMW engined three-seater.

Capable of sprinting from o to 60mph in 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 240mph, the fastest ever naturally-aspirated car is by far one of the rare breeds currently on sale. This is probably why Taylor & Crawley are hoping to get £8 million ($12.35 million) for it. On the other hand, judging by the video recently taken by 458MRP people are not really rushing in with bids so far.
