After the 2014 Mustang lineup was revealed last month by Roush Performance, they recently released more details on the Aluminator engine option for the Stage 3 Mustang, developed with the aid of Ford Racing division.
As Ford Racing Business Manager George Goddu said, the Aluminator engine pack contains upgraded components that replace the stock cast units to improve durability of the engines running at high level of boost and power. It includes components such as a large rear sump 8 quart oil pan with improved oil drainback, 11:1 compression ratio Mahle H-beam forged aluminum pistons, H-beam forged steel connecting rods with ARP 2000 bolts, BOSS 302 high performance connecting rod bearing and BOSS 302 valve springs.
