Rotary Supercars Aims for the Skies With 2,800 HP Veyron-Fighter

Having thousands of horsepower under the hood of your sportscar is more of a privilege these days. Take, for example, the Bugatti Veyron, which offers its thousand and one horsepower only to a small group of the Jet Set, and points out that this exclusive figure are not are everyone’s reach. But things are about to take an unreal twist, as Rotary Supercars promises that they will offer a car that will make Bugatti Veyron owners weep.

They say the car will be able to hit the 60 mph (100km/h) mark in less than a second, with a top speed of 280 mph (about 450 km/h). But for the moment the Rotary supercar doesn’t exist, or at least there are no facts to back it up.

Furthermore, the company has announced that one of their upcoming models will feature an eight-rotor engine which will put out 2,800 hp and 3,494 Nm of torque. Eight rotors sounds fanciful doesn't it?

The amazing car is supposed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than a second. Thinking about the figures the company has revealed, it comes hardly to imagine how a car like this could react on a race circuit. It would be probably the fastest and most powerful supercar ever created, if it will see the daylight. So far, what we do know is that the company made plans to unveil their first model at Top Marques Monaco 2012.

It could be an amazing unveiling if Rotary Supercars pull this off. But until then, the RSC 52R4T Supercar that accelerates from 0-100 km/h in a second and develops 2,800 hp is nothing more than a sweet dream.
