Valentino Rossi is not only an inspiration for the future generations of riders, but he is also helping manufacturers such as AGV spearhead the motorcycle-related industry. And since it's AGV, it's about helmets: one of the most expected lids, the Pista GP, will finally be available in the US starting from October 2013.
If you liked the Pista GP replica, prepare to be enthralled by this black, all-carbon helmet. AGV has scanned Rossi's head and started building the Pista GP from the inside out, just like they did with the Corsa lid.

The Pista GP claims 15% wider field of view and 1 9% larger visor area, and a whopping increase of 193% in ventilation. On the safety side, AGV offers 36% less Gs transmitted to the head, and 48% less Head Injury Criterion index, with a smaller profile and 44 per cent less lift.

No price has been announced, but don't expect anything cheap. And if Rossi was not exaggerating when he declared that its aerodynamics are almost like not wearing a helmet, we might be looking at a truly glorious lid.
