Ross Brawn Answers "Frustrated" Barrichello

Ross Brawn quickly answered his frustrated driver – Rubens Barrichello, that is – to his accusations after the German Grand Prix, insisting that the two BGP 001s were simply unable to fight for the win at the Nurburgring.

In a post-race interview with British broadcaster BBC, Barrichello had slammed his team for their inability to help him win the race, noting that the Sunday race was a “good show from the team on how to lose a race”. He added that he doesn't want to see any of his team members for the time being, as “it will be all 'bla bla bla” in the post-race debrief.

Brawn, however, admitted that his only mistake was not keeping his driver up to date with what was happening during the race, as the race engineers had a problem with the team's radio. Once Rubens will get a glimpse of how the race informations look like, he will be convinced there was nothing the Brawns could have done to help him become a race winner this season, believes Brawn.

That's a frustrated racing driver. When you get out of a car thinking you should have won a race, and you haven't got all the facts, that can happen,” said Brawn after the race,

It's a passion some drivers have. Once he has calmed down ... sits down and looks at all the numbers he will realize we were too slow. There was no capacity to win the race,” added the Brazilian driver.

The first step towards reconciliation seems to have been made already, as the F1 veteran admitted, in an official Brawn GP statement however, that the reasons for his disappointing run on Sunday “are now very clear to me having spoken to the team.
