The #1 Ronin, the one bearing the name of Oishi Yoshio, the leader of the 47 samurais left without a master, will take on the Pikes Peak at the end of June.
It's been more than once when we brought you news about the mighty 47 Magpul Ronin custom bikes, and here's some more. If you thought these machines were only going to see track action from time to time and spend the rest of their days being admired in the confinement of a garage, think again.
Ronin's presence on the Pikes Peak competitors list adds to the excitement of this year's race, as more spicy bikes will take their best shot at PPIHC glory. The Ronin will have a Kawasaki Ninja H2, Victory Project 156, and a Ducati 1299 Panigale S as rivals, among others.
Ronin Oishi Yoshio will be ridden to the clouds by Pikes Peak veteran and class-winner Travis Newbold. He took a bike similar to the Oishi Yoshio to the track, but the one he tested (pictured) was powered by a 1125R heart, according to A&R.
On race day, however, Newbold will be in the saddle of the 1190RX-derived beast, as the one he tested is the secondary machine. According to him, the bike handles exceptionally and feels like it rolls on rails, even when pushed really hard.
With the 93rd edition of the PPIHC being almost around the corner, it will be very interesting to see how these new bikes perform up the mountain.

The top Ronin is different from the other 46 bikes, just as Oishi was among his sword-bearing brethren.
