Fiat has been making sustained efforts for the 500 model. The vehicle, which has already become successful in Europe, will also make its way to the U.S. market.. The 500 range currently offers multiple possibilities, also including an open-top model (the 500C) and two hot Abarth versions, with the engine ranging from the recently-presented MultiAir unit which is an example of efficiency to the mad 160 hp turbocharged 1.4 liter found on the Abarth Esseesse.
It seems that the list of possibilities has just been enlarged, as the Romeo Ferraris tuner has introduced a new modification package for the vehicle.
Dubbed “Sardinia”, the kit targets the cabrio version of the 500 and dresses the car in a two tone finish. This includes a special green paint dedicated to the emerald coast.
The tuner said that it was actually inspired by the Sardinian coast to create the shades of emerald green and the sand-like reflexes of the door mirrors, door handles and bumper inserts.
The little 500 now rides on 16 inch rims that use a multispoke design and a polished finish. The wheels use 195/45 R16 Yokohama high-performance tires. The car has also been fitted with a dual exhaust tip.
The same theme is used for the interior of the vehicle, where the beige shade of the leather upholstery is complemented by a special cork that comes from the oak trees on the island. This has been used fro the gear lever and center console trimming. The floormats use an emerald green color.
