Here's some new footage from Romanian inventor Raul Oaida and his jet-powered mountain bike. Now, Raul's contraption is not exactly new, as he already had his first runs and a fair amount of publicity earlier this year.
However, this only made him more eager to upgrade his ride and try to make things run even better. Following in the steps of another Romanian inventor, Henri Coanda, the father of the jet engine, Raul has built his own jet engine.

It took him 3 long years to develop the power unit, and almost $5,000 () according to his own plans and designs. The bike can now do 41 km/h, and is fueled by a mix of petrol, diesel and oil, since kerosene is rather hard to come by.

The engine spins at 93,000 rpm tops and will surely become better as Raul gets enough funds. And to better understand just how Raul sees life, you should also know that he launched a Lego space shuttle... into space. Jetbike and shuttle videos after the jump.
