They plan to ride around the planet spending over two years in the saddle of a 2005 BMW R1200GS that was tuned and tweaked to comply with the rigors of such an adventure. The two will cover more than 100,000 km (62,150 miles) and will visit no less than 87 countries in their way.

It's not the first time when the two, who are also the founders of the Black Helmets riders club in Romania, are making spectacular trips. They also toured through the entire Europe aboard a BMW R1150RT recently.

Florin and Diana are already on their way, and two days ago they were in Germany, heading for Denmark and up north to reach Nordkapp, the northernmost point in Europe reachable by road.

Like it is accustomed in the select club of ride-the-world motorcyclists, they will film and take hundreds of photos along the way, all of them being posted to the dedicated Worldride2016 blog. There you can also find details on how to support them with donations if you feel like taking part in a way in their adventure.

Even more, thanks to the GPS device they have on the bike, you can also track their progress in real time online. Also, you can get in contact with Florin and Diana using the Worldride2016 Facebook page.

The two Romanians are also planning to set and break some records along the way, including passing through the most capitals and cities during a motorcycle ride, and becoming the first married couple to ride around the world.

After exploring Scandinavia and reaching Nordkapp, the two will go to Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Nepal, China, Mongolia and then back to Russia, to head towards North America. They will cross Canada and the US on their way to Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Argentina and Brazil. From there, they still have to decide whether heading for Africa or Australia.
