We now live in the era of wacky builds and no machine is safe from the customization desires, not even those adorned with the Spirit of Ecstasy. This time around, we're talking about a virtual contraption, though, namely a rendering that portrays the Rolls-Royce Wraith in gasser form.
In case you're wondering what a gasser is, we're talking about the late 1950s and 1960s drag racers that relied on gasoline rather than race fuel.

The top-tier cars used a straight axle front suspension, which led to the raised from end that made gassers so easy to recognize.

Yasid Oozear is the digital artist behind this work - the devil is in the details with this one and you can zoom in on all the bits and pieces thanks to the Instagram post below (make sure to use the swipe feature for the full eye candy).

What about the real world?

While the gasser Rolls-Royce we have here will remains confined to our screens, let's take a bit of time to talk about some RRs that have actually been taken down the customization route.

For instance, here's a Silver Shadow that has been given a drift car treatment. On one hand, the luxury sedan maintains its factory three-speed automatic. On the other hand, the contraption looks like it packs the drifting-specific steering rack that allows the driver to play with impressive slip angle.

The Goodwood machine used to be raced by Boyzone's Shane Lynch, so there's more to this car than just the metal.

In fact, we can even talk about a heavily modded Wraith. This had been turned into a road rally machine, the kind you'd find at the Gumball Rally, becoming the ride of alpine skier Jon Olsson.

The machine has been pushed all the way to 810 hp, but this was far from its only mod, as the custom treatment was aimed at boosting the practicality side of the big coup, and of course, its image on social media (we can't overlook that, can we?).
