Alas, we’ve reached that point in the Rolls-Royce Wraith’s life where we have to talk about its first major incident. This took place in China, where an example of the luxurious coupe was totally destroyed by fire while it was on a trailer.
As you can see in the adjacent image, which comes from wreckedexotics, this is probably the worst condition a fire could bring a Rolls-Royce in.

The Wraith was just one of the victims of the fire - the platform was transporting a larger number of exotics and luxury vehicles. Among others, an Audi R8 and a Porsche Cayenne were carbonized.

The circumstances that led to the massive fire are still unknown, but the flames appear to have engulfed the entire trailer. The metallic structure held its shape, but it’s not like this helped with the damage in any way. Perhaps identifying the burned vehicles was easier this way.

If you ask us, given the nature of the transported machines, this incident deserves to be transformed in a form of art that could be used to raise awareness on such matters.

To be the best of our knowledge, there have been no other important incidents involving a Wraith so far. Considering the smooth driving-inducing Grand Tourer nature of the vehicle, ample body roll included, let’s hope that we won’t witness one too soon.
