Rolls-Royce has a habit of unveiling one-off cars inspired by various motifs, and its latest creations follow the same pattern.
In its most recent Summer Studio, located in glamorous Porto Cervo (Sardinia), Rolls-Royce has unveiled a pair of bespoke models, in the form of a Wraith and a Dawn. The two are made to celebrate the brand’s summer studio, which will be open until September 2016, and are stunning examples of the creativity and character of the brand from Goodwood.
Both cars were commissioned to reflect the atmosphere of one of the most exclusives enclaves in the world, and each bears the name Porto Cervo in its designation. They have been embellished with emeralds, so that they can showcase the colors of Porto Cervo.
Let’s start with the bespoke Wraith, a model that has been painted in a two-tone silver exterior. Its color reflects the dimming of daylight, and features a purple feature line. The figurine on top of the radiator grille, the famous Spirit of Ecstasy, is softly illuminated from the car’s grille.
Once the doors are opened, viewers will observe several shades of purple, blue, slate, and black, in a choice meant to evoke the feeling of calm as night falls over Porto Cervo. The cabin is upholstered with ostrich leather for more depth and texture.
Meanwhile, the second bespoke model, a Rolls-Royce Dawn, has been designed to capture the vivid color of the Porto Cervo seascape. Therefore, Rolls-Royce used an “emerald green” exterior, which was matched with a seashell and green leather interior. The ornaments are made from teak wood, and even the trunk mat is made from the same material.
The bespoke Dawn features a set of emeralds placed into white gold, along with a mother of pearl. The ornaments are put on the fascia of the dash to complete the visual harmony of the vehicle. The emeralds are set in the shape of the emblem of Porto Cervo.
