Now that Bentley has tested the market and came to the conclusion that it will build an SUV, Rolls Royce is considering bringing one to life too.
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes recently let it slip that the company is seriously considering the luxury SUV segment, as Automotive News reports. However, while Bentley’s SUV will hit the market in 2016, we’ll have to wait a bit more for Rolls-Royce’s proposal.
While Maserati and possibly Lamborghini are also scheduled to release SUV models, Rolls-Royce has to be more cautious. We’l lremind you that the company has experimented before, with clients rejecting the idea of an electric Rolls-Royce, for example.
Should the Rolls-Royce SUV get the green light, the vehicle could ride on a modified version of the new F15 BMW X5. Speaking of this, we’l lremind you that BMW was planning an X7 a few years ago, but we haven’t heard anything about the project lately.
Until the automotive producer comes to a decision, we’re inviting you to watch some Rolls-Royce offroading below.
