When you’re thinking about what Rolls-Royce stands for, it's clear that the double R is the epitome of four-wheeled luxury. Then again, even Rolls-Royce gets it wrong from time to time, as it did with one little detail of the “Dawn - Inspired by Fashion."
First thing’s first, take a look at the eleventh photo in the gallery. Now imagine Jeremy Clarkson’s voice and the following line: “What does ‘Inspired by Fashion’ actually mean?” Jokes aside, such a tasteless ornament should not be found on a Rolls-Royce, not even a Rolls-Royce with a wacky soft top.

Speaking of which, that’s the coolest thing about the Spring/Summer 2017 Couture collection of Dawn models. When was the last time you’ve seen a Roller as vibrant as these babies here? On that note, a vividly colored roof isn’t an in-your-face detail like the previously mentioned door sill kick plate, but an enhancement that adds a little bit of fun factor to a stately machine.

Dubbed Mugello Red, Cobalto Blue, and Mandarin, the soft top can only be matched with a white body shell. The color is called Andalucian White. Look closely and you’ll also notice a coachline that mirrors the color of the roof.

Inside this luxobarge, the sensorial experience is a marriage between the finest leather upholstery in the automotive industry, Piano White interior trim that uses aluminum particles for a silk-like appearance, as well as red and black detailing everywhere. Even though the name doesn’t suit it, the 2017 Rolls-Royce Dawn - Inspired by Fashion is one hell of a way to roll in style.

“The commissioning of fine luxury objects represents a deeply-involving curatorial process – with different forms of luxury design, craft and execution serving as inspiration for the other,” said Giles Taylor, the British ultra-luxury manufacturer's director of design. "'Dawn – Inspired by Fashion’ beautifully expresses the notion that inspiration for truly personal objects is drawn from the passions, tastes, and lifestyle of its patron.” Fancy words, fancy car.
