How can you make opulence look opulent for a long time? Easy peasy, just throw in another special edition, and the job is half done.
Because the Veyron is now out of production and Bugatti can't invent another special edition, other carmakers try their hand with this practice. But this time, it's Rolls-Royce trying to squeeze that extra exclusivity nectar from the Phantom with the Limelight Edition.

The anecdote behind the term 'limelight' comes - not surprisingly - from Britain. Here, a certain Sir Goldsworthy Gurney discovered the limelight effect used later in the theatres of London’s Covent Garden, highlighting leading actors on the stage.

Rolls-Royce has the same thing in store for buyers, with one exception: they use a car to highlight the person, rather than a big spotlight projector. They even created a special iteration of their Phantom, called - what else - Limelight Edition.

The world will only see 25 such cars, but that's not unusual. What's different about them is how engineers and designers worked with ergonomists on interior features.

So for those filthy-rich customers looking for the ultimate comfort experience, here's what awaits you: the Phantom Limelight seat back reclines the body by a recommended 27° helping to rest the head on the headrest cushion.

Lower down the body, a new calf rest raises electrically by 68° to support the calf while a foot rest emerges out of the floor to raise the feet up to 30°.

With your body caressed as explained above, there's only one thing to worry about: interior equipment. Rolls-Royce offers a Light contrast option which combines Seashell with Navy Blue Contrast Leather and Seashell tone-on-tone stitching, but there's more.

The special edition can also be ordered with a Dark contrast scheme offering Navy Blue with Seashell Contrast Leather and Navy tone-on-tone stitching.
