Someone should tell the Rolls-Royce Ghost that it’s not a donk and never will be, as that term is reserved to the 1971-1976 Chevrolet Caprice and Impala, with the typical modifications. If they don’t, then we might soon see the luxury sedan with a brash paint finish, on oversized alloys.
For now, the pictured example only exists in fantasy land, designed by 412donklife and shared on Instagram a few hours ago. However, the rendering artist says that they made it for an anonymous customer in Florida, and that could mean that someone is actually interested in turning their Rolls-Royce Ghost into a donk-ish car.
You don’t need to know your vehicles by heart to tell that such a design doesn’t belong on something that bears the signature of the auto marque based in Goodwood, England, because it’s too ostentatious for a Rolls. It is also a very kitschy styling proposal that ruins the looks of what is one of the best luxury four-door models that money can buy.
As for the modifications, they’re very obvious, starting with the neon yellow finish applied to the lower parts of the body, which make it look like a giant safety vest, to the black hue of the upper part. There are ginormous wheels fitted to this luxury sedan, too, finished in the same lively paint, with ‘Rolls-Royce’ center caps, shod in ultra-thin tires in order to fit under the arches.
The latter modification would ruin the comfort of basically any car and would also give it a ridiculous turning radius. Thus, a Rolls-Royce Ghost on such big alloys would wave goodbye to the magic carpet ride, and no one in their right mind would want to drive it for more than a few miles at a time.
