Rolls-Royce customers and collectors cannot have enough of the company’s limited-series models, so they request for bespoke items every once in a while.
This time, the brand from Goodwood has announced it has designed a bespoke picnic hamper. When Rolls-Royce says it has made a bespoke product, they do not mean a simple rebadge, but a new device made from scratch for a seemingly household item. What starts out as an apparently simple picnic kit turns into luxury picnic hamper once Rolls-Royce gets done with it.

The element visible in the photo gallery is a creation imagined by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design Team for the Phantom Zenith Collection. The latter is a limited edition of the Phantom, in the form of the model’s swan song. So the design team had to make it as special as possible.

According to Rolls-Royce, this piece of practical art was requested by collectors that have purchased Phantom Zenith models.

The result of their requests is an item that completes the trinity of articles created under the Phantom Zenith Collection, along with the vehicle and the unique metal ingot provided to each owner. The latter is a single piece of the Phantom assembly line, picked straight from the home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood.

Each picnic hamper will be sequentially numbered, so that it will correctly match each owner’s Phantom Zenith Collection car. As with the metal ingot, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Zenith Collection picnic hamper will be delivered with the vehicle. Unlike the ingot, this item has been designed to be carried in the vehicle.

Each bespoke Rolls-Royce picnic hamper is crafted from American Walnut wood and natural grain leather. The two materials mentioned will each be available in a choice of three colors, so that they could match the interior of the cars that will be delivered to them.

Since Rolls-Royce did not design this item just because, it can be used for an actual picnic, as it even has Piano Black tables within it. These tables fold out on milled-aluminum hinges, and those hinges are engraved with the locations of the global presentation of the concept versions of each model in the current Phantom lineup. This detail matches the armrest capping inside the car.

The Rolls-Royce Bespoke picnic hamper also features handmade stainless steel cutlery, crystal wine glasses, embroidered napkins, and a handcrafted American Walnut cutting board. The baskets come with unique platters, which have been painted black and have platinum detail around the edges.
