2020 was the year when we all got way more intimate with our homes than we would have wanted to. We spent enough time under the same roof to last us a decade, and that forced us to find new ways to keep entertained.
For most, that meant Netflix and chill. Others caught up with their reading. Some enjoyed all the extra time they got to spend with their families. We're sure plenty decided to use the situation for little DIY projects around the house. However, a very small minority did something completely different: they ordered a bespoke Rolls-Royce.

Yes, we know, that was our reaction too when we first heard this bit of news: "why didn't I think of that?" It's too late now; the lockdown is over, the moment has passed. Better luck next pandemic. A lucky few, though, used this time to come up with an idea for how to personalize their one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce.

The British luxury brand is proud to announce that while you were shifting the couch back to where it was in 1992 and feeling pretty good about your home improvement skills, others were barely moving a finger while coming up with the finishing touches for their next car. Apparently, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective - a team of designers, engineers, and craftspeople working to satisfy the most demanding requests with utmost perfection - was kept really busy during last year, managing to register a record number of involvements with the sales of new Rolls-Royces.

According to the company, almost every car built in 2020 visited the Bespoke Collective department before being delivered, showing the customers' growing desire to have the vehicles tailored as much as possible to their personalities and preferences.

"Faced with the challenges of the year," Rolls-Royce says in its press release, "clients have harnessed the creative outlet of Rolls-Royce Bespoke to seek solace and invest time, a rediscovered commodity, to introspectively commission legacies that reflect precious items of historical and familial significance."

You can browse the image gallery to get a taste of how these people chose to have their cars personalized. To be fair, some look pretty impressive, while others are just stunning, but there's one thing that's true about all of them: they were expensive.
