Rod Stewart Selling His Ferrari F430

Come one come all! Gather round and take a look at this wonder of Italian engineering and design that is known by everyone as the Ferrari F430. Though some of you younger folk out there might not remember, back in the 80s glam rock ruled and a couple of tight jean-wearing, weird hairdo-having singers used to rule the charts and the world.

It is then that they prospered, made lots of money, bought expensive cars and married some of the most beautiful women in the world... several times. Take Rod Stewart here for example. In other countries he'd be the eccentric old dude who scares young kids on the block, but in UK he's a famous rock star with a large car collection that has nothing better to do than go joy-riding.

Today however, that collection seems to be getting smaller, because he's determined to sell one of the first ever produced F430s, the Spider version. It originally cost 145,000 pounds and it was equipped with a 483 bhp 4.3 liter V8 engine that could propel the car from 0 to 60 in just 4.1 seconds. Top speed was around 196 miles per hour.

You can purchase that car now for just 89,995 pounds which is not half bad, considering that you have Rod Stewart's name attached to it. The car is a lovely Ferrari red with cream leather interior and a carbon fibre dashboard.

You should take into consideration the fact that Rod here seems to have an eye for cool cars, also owning a 575 Maranello (which he also sold), a Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster and a Miura SV. It's safe to say the man has a thing for Italian cars. Auto Trader UK has more details on the purchase.

Not bad for a guy that used to be a grave-digger at a certain point in his life.
