Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most successful game releases in history, as it continues to be a money-making machine for Rockstar even 9 years after its launch.
The parent company has obviously tried to milk GTA V as much as possible, and the new-gen console release not a long time ago is just living proof in this regard.

With this announcement, GTA V made its way to no more, no less than three console generations. Originally launched in 2013 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it was then updated for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One before the new-gen console version went live earlier this year.

But now it looks like Rockstar is finally getting ready to make GTA V a thing of the past.

It was recently discovered that the company published the credits for the game on its website, therefore suggesting that its development is approaching its end. A thank you note also included on the page indicates that Rockstar is ready for the next big chapter of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, so needless to say, this only fuels the excitement for GTA 6.

On the other hand, while GTA 6 has already been confirmed, it’s worth knowing that Rockstar is still putting a lot of effort into keeping all the essential details away from our eyes and ears.

But given the company has published the game’s credits on the official website – something that typically happens when a project comes to an end, it’s now believed that the development of GTA 6 is entering a new phase where Rockstar would move more of its teams to the new installment.

People familiar with the matter previously said that GTA 6 could see the daylight in late 2023 or 2024, so don’t expect Rockstar to spill the beans on the game anytime soon.
