We think we saw a similar color combination on a black Ferrari 458 Spider that received candy apple red wheels from PUR about half a year ago. Now, the Canadian auto shop SR Auto Group is back with a Japanese twist on the same theme.
The Lexus RC F might not have the same level of performance as a BMW M4 or a C63, but the body is undeniably sexy. Some people hate the Spindle Grille design language, but we're not here to pick favorites between Japanese lunacy and understated German soberness.
Instead, we want to show you what can be done with the RC F and lots of money. The full Rocket Bunny package has been fitted to the black coupe. It includes a new front lip with a racing look, front fender flares, side skirts, rear fender flares, a diffuser and rear spoiler.
You'd notice that big wing from a mile away, and as the RC F gets a little bit closer, the tuned body or quad exhaust might trick you into thinking that this is a modified drift car. However, something tells us the owner doesn't want to take any liberties with his new ride.
Not only does a brand new RC F cost $63,325, but the wheels aren't cheap either. We're talking about PUR LX10.V3 alloys in sizes 20×10.5 front and 20×12 inch rear with Gloss Davinci Red powder coat liberally applied. These are tailor-made, three-piece forged goods made from Aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum for a high strength-to-weight ratio.
The car does, however, sit a bit lower thanks to RSR coilover suspension. It's hard to imagine this car as being an everyday sportscar, which is what the Lexus is all about. An Aprexi catback exhaust system would not make things easier on your ears either. But hey, some people will do just about anything to stand out in a crowd.
In case your appetite for widebody madness has been wetted, here's another RC F and a Toyota GT 86 that looks like a Lexus for you to sink your teeth into.
