Rocket Bunny Golf 7 Kit Previewed by Pandem Before Essen Motor Show 2015

The Volkswagen Golf is still the best-selling car in Europe. Every day, factories in Germany churn out over one thousand units, so the chances of recognizing yours in a parking lot are slim. However, the owner of this little pet project has no such problem, as he asked the people behind the Rocket Bunny kits to give VW's main pony more muscle.

For now, we can only show you three preview pictures of what seems to be a Golf GTI 3-door. It was probably a good idea not to start with the 5-door, since the rear fender flares would thus need to be split down the middle to accommodate te opening of the rear doors.

Honestly, we don't get why it took so long for somebody to make this type of kit. The GTI has been around for two years, in which time nobody has had the guts to bolt plastic trashcans over the wings. That's right, Rocket Bunny flares need holes drilled straight through the bodywork, just like their Liberty Walk counterparts.

A new front bumper has also been installed, together with a large front spoiler, a roll cage and a roof spoiler.

On the drivetrain side, the Golf got a KW lowering suspension with coilovers and better brakes. To take advantage of the bigger fenders, 20-inch wheels with a deep dish and 12-inch wide rubber have been installed.

For now, we don't have any information about what's lurking under the hood. However, nobody installs a big intercooler without chip tuning and a new exhaust system. So this 2-liter turbo could pack over 300 horsepower when it's finally ready to be shown at the Essen Motor Show 2015, which starts on November 28.

In case you're looking for a similar transformation but don't own the latest generation of Golf GTI, know that a company called Ingo Noak just introduced its kit for the Mk6.
