The world of drifting is currently on an ascending trend and one of the results is that we get to see more and more drool-worthy sliding machines. The newest example of this comes from the video below, which brings us a BMW that has betrayed its Bavarian origins.
To be more specific, we're dealing with an E36 3 Series Coupe here, so you'd probably expect the usual V8 swap, perhaps with some aid from a turbo. Well, this Bimmer has skipped all that in favor of a Toyota heart.

As you've probably guessed by now, we're dealing with a 2JZ engine here. The Japanese unit is famous thanks to two main aspects. It all starts with the tuning-friendly nature of the engine, but that wouldn't mean too much without the high reliability factor of the infamous mill.

While this isn't one of those costs-don't-matter vehicles we get to see in Formula D, the BMW we have here is far from a budget build. It's enough to check out the tidy way in which the stripped interior has been sorted out to realize that.

As for the exterior of the car, the JDM influences have been kept alive with the help of a Rocket Bunny kit. This is the part of the story where we feel the need to mention the resulting appearance won't suit everybody's tastes.

Fortunately, though, this BMW is all about going sideways, with the driver not being afraid to make use of the car's drift-savvy mods, namely the hydraulic handbrake and the extreme steering angle.

As a result, we get to see the E36 in full sideways action in the piece of footage below. However, before you hit the "play" button, you have to keep in mind that what you'll see is a mere practice session, not a competition.
