Robosteel is an Irish company that uses recycled steel to give birth to unique sculptures. This creation has been built using parts taken from hundreds of defunct cars, with the creation tipping the scales at 500 kg (1,102 lbs) and being one meter tall.
The creation process made extensive use of welding, smoothing and polishing, with the last step including the application of multiple layers of lacquer.
“This is the first time we’ve used our design concept to create a supercar. The initial design for the car was created by the amazing India based art designer ToonRama. The RoboSteel concept supercar is based on the complex designs and structures of south Indian temples and the Kirtimukha sculptures that are positioned at the entrance to these temples. Dave Murphy from Dublin Ink has added an Alien theme and RoboSteel have made the concept come to life,” said Roboteel’s Piyanuch Chanphet.
The RoboSteel team worked over 750 hours to develop this piece of aggression on wheels. However, this is a gentle monster that has accepted to be auctioned for charity.
We’re not quite sure if the world needs such four-wheeled creation, but this doesn’t mean that we’re not ready to welcome new ones. Let them come!
