Cult cars will always blow a hole in your bank account, but the question is how big will the crater be? Well, if we're talking about an Mk IV Toyota Supra, we hope not every potential buyer out there goes through an experience that's as financially painful as Rob Ferretti's one.
The YouTuber recently decided to share the costs of building his 1,100 hp 1998 Supra with us and, after putting together a few figures he drops in the video below, it turns out the collector paid $87.5 for each mile driven in his Supra. As the guy explains in the clip, the tale of this car has been anything but smooth.

However, the 70 grand he's invested over the ten years of ownership aren't an issue now that the car has finally reached the point where it can be driven without things blowing up.

And if Rob decides the Supra needs to trade hands, he won't sell it for under $100,000, so the profit he supposedly makes should be worth the hassle.

Now, you might be wondering why anybody would want to pay that kind of money for a Supra. Given the fact that this is a 1998 model that hasn't been ruined by tuning (according to Rob, the mods on its are reversible) and that the odometer only shows 19,000 miles, the man might just get his painkillers.

As for the new Supra the vlogger mentions in the video, we'll remind you that Toyota is expected to show the car in concept at the Tokyo Auto Show in October. Note that the production model is expected to follow shortly.

Meanwhile, we've brought you a rendering of the 2018 Toyota Supra, one that uses the spyshots of the fifth-generation model as a starting point. The only issue is that the machine portrayed in the pixel arrangement doesn't seem to fully live up to the hype...
