What do you do when you're a supercar collector who runs an exotic rental company and you get bored of all the high-octane activities on your daily agenda? You buy a stanced Miata, of course.
At least this is what Rob Ferretti did, with one of the most famous petrolhead YouTubers getting himself a NA-generation (this was the original) earlier this year.
The best part about the YouTube content resulting from this Miata adventure is that while the majority of the owners treat these cars as their pride and joy machines, Rob obviously gives us a different angle.
As you'll be able to see in the first video, his little Mazda packs all the stereotypical aspects that led to the notion of "stanced" getting a poor reputation.
From the outlandish camber angle to the abnormal tailpipes (the actual Bosozoku community would probably reject this car too), this MX-5 looks like a victim of car customization, which is probably why Rob acquired it in the first place.
Despite the Miata covering a pedestrian-grade distance through the snow in this clip, the car's struggle to get through the white stuff becomes obvious, which gives the adventure an amusing take. Oh, and we also have to mention that the Mazda's difficulties have inspired the guy to plan a more serious snowy roadtrip - he is now waiting for the weather to become generous enough for him to get his Mazda truly stuck.
