Some lucky guys from Road and Track had the chance to take a Lime Rock Park Edition BMW E92 M3 for a couple of spins, as the car arrived at their headquarters.
For those of you that don’t already know it, the Lime Rock Park Edition M3 was sold exclusively in the US and has the name of a famous race course in Massachusetts. Production was limited to 200 cars and, apparently, nothing was changed in the performance department.

However, the cars were all done in Fire Orange and featured inconel exhausts, carbon fibre performance parts such as a roof, front splitter, rear spoiler, competition package and a lowered height. The quoted top speed is rated at 300 km/h (187 mph).

The fact that this car looks so good is enough to get some of us daydreaming but driving one is even more spectacular, as the Road & Track editors found out. They really wanted to say bad things about it but in the end the complaints were restricted only to the paint color, hard suspension, and the fact that it didn’t have a manual (with no complaints regarding the functionality of the DCT). You should actually read the article to see how impressed they were.
