Road Rage Incident in England Is Probably the Funniest Viral You'll See this Year

Ah, road rage. It's always fun when you're not involved in any way, and you also know nobody's going to get hurt. And they're particularly funny over in England, where people tend to be somewhat polite. Until the knuckle fight begins, at least.

You may remember this little British confrontation between a motorist and a bicycle rider that ended with the former having to pick his limbs off the asphalt. This one is a lot funnier, but also less violent. That is if you don't consider strong words as violent language. You have been warned.

I don't know how this happens, but this episode also involves a guy on two wheels, only this time he's riding a moped. The guy does overtake some cars queuing for a roundabout, but that's what all motorcyclist do. He stops just behind the first car in the queue, in front of a red Citroen Picasso. He initially leaves enough space for the French car to move forward, but after the driver honks him, he moves in the gap. He then proceeds to shake his head in disbelief - warning to all you suffering from vertigo.

The Citroen Picasso driver is clearly having none of that, so as soon as he sees a gap in the oncoming traffic where he feels the moped should have turned right (that's the equivalent of left for all the normal people who drive on the right side of the road), he honks him again. The camera guy turns around and asks "what?", saying he'll go when the traffic clears. He uses his hands a little too much, so there might have been a little non-verbal miscommunication there as well.

As soon as the two manage to turn right, the Citroen Picasso driver pulls alongside the moped and the whole video instantly becomes a lot more interesting.

We'll leave you to enjoy the savory dialogue, but we will answer the one question you'll have after you're done with the video: who is Ronnie Pickering?

(the fun part starts at 00:40)

I know you've just seen this, but this dialogue is so absurdly funny I just have to write it down here:

"Do you know who I am?"
"Do I care?"

Says something about pulling up in front of him.
In the meantime, curiosity gets the better of the moped rider:
"Alright, who are you, then?"
"Ronnie Pickering"
"Who?"
"Ronnie Pickering"
"Who?"
"RONNIE PICKERING!!!"
"Who the f**k's that?"
"Yeah, me."

That's just brilliant.

OK, so Ronnie Pickering, as you might have guessed from how eager he was to get into a fight with the moped rider, is a 54-year-old ex-amateur boxer. He was once known as Ronnie One-Punch Pickering, so this only goes to show it's not wise to pick a fight with somebody on the street, as you never know who you'll come across.

Ronnie even got the chance to speak for himself and, speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, this is what he had to say: "I heard a tap, which I thought was the driver using his boot to hit my car. I don’t know why he did this. He overtook a load of cars that was queueing. He encroached into my safety gap. I was wanting to turn right, but he wouldn’t go. I felt as though he was baiting me."

However, Ronnie did turn a bit apologetic in the end: "I'm sorry, but he was a muppet." That's the spirit, Ronnie.
