RK Motors has announced plans to join the Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary celebrations in Charlotte with a special exhibit and a hand-picked selection of classic and modern musclecars.
Ford Mustang drivers and visitors that will be gathering at the Charlotte Motor Speedway during the April 17 to 20 weekend will be able to have a closer looks at three of the rare ponies that currently reside in the company’s inventory in Lakeview Road.

These will include a 1965 Mustang Pro Touring EFI V8, a 1970 restored Mustang Boss 302 and a 2007 Mustang Eleanor GT powered by a supercharged Saleen engine. Additionally, RK Motors will unveil a specially built Mustang Pro touring car that will compete in this year’s Hot Rod Power Tour.

As a reminder, the Mustang 50th Anniversary celebrations, which are scheduled to commence with a huge pony drive on April 13, will include festivities at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The celebrations will end with evening banquets and awards ceremonies in both cities, where guests will be joined by Ford executives, and past and present Team Mustang members.

Additionally, Shelby American will host a private gala for those who will attend the Mustang 50th birthday celebrations in Las Vegas on April 18.

The Mustang parade from Charlotte Motor Speedway to Kannapolis, North Carolina, is expected to set a Guinness World Record with thousands of ponies joining in. The previous record was established six years ago, when 620 Mustangs traveled from St. Eulalie to Victoriaville, Quebec.
