Who could say no to a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle? That retro mid-sized ride is considered to this day as one of the most iconic American muscle cars ever made, in SS trim that is. So what would you say about a neat restomodded Chevelle that packs 980 ponies?
Yup, that's an even better proposition than a pristine condition 1966 model in our book. Specialist OEM company Ringbrothers just announced that it's going to take this year's SEMA by storm with the previously mentioned custom Chevrolet Chevelle, offering four teaser sketches in advance of the unveiling event.

Slated to debut on November 4th at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, the custom restomodded muscle car is officially known as the Ringbrothers Recoil and its old motor was swapped for a modern LS7 V8, enhanced by a Whipple supercharger system, a custom-made Flowmaster exhaust and HRE wheels.

In the Ringbrothers' own words, the Recoil Chevelle "blends the raw power of a race car with the sleek and detailed finish of a show car." Of course, there's a lot of hand-laid carbon fiber here and there, both inside and outside, as well as LED tail lamps shaped like those of the pre-facelift fith-gen Chevy Camaro.

Jim Ring, the co-owner of Ringbrothers, added that “we put a lot of hours and work into this car and we are proud of the results. The Chevelle is as beautiful as it is fast and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
