Rimac Concept_One Shown in Monaco with Price Tag

Heralded as the first electric supercar, the Croatian-built Rimac is also a real eye catcher. Adriano Mudri - the exterior designer - wanted the car to be ‘simple and clear with a lot of sporty elegance to easily catch up with its competitors in this power and exclusivity class’, and he has succeeded indeed.

The car gets an electric motor at each corner, giving it all-wheel drive and excellent off-the-mark performance: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.8 seconds. The manufacturer also claims that the car can go 600 km (370 miles) on one charge and has a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph).

Despite having the word ‘concept’ in its name, the Concept_One does have a price tag and can be bought. The news was announced while Rimac was showing off the car at the Top Marques show in Monaco. A limited production run of 88 examples has also been announced. If you are interested, expect each car to go for €740.000 ($980.000).

If the car lives up to its promised figures of performance and efficiency, factoring in its sleek and stylish outside and a custom leather interior by Bulgarian aftermarket developer Vilner there’s no reason not to buy one if you’ve got the credit and are fond of polar bears.
