Some people are really asking for it when it comes to bike-related injuries and even more. It is indeed fun and inspiring watching stunt riders doing the craziest tricks at bike rallies and similar events, but acting Evel Knievel on busy streets is not a healthy option.
Now, it's obvious you don't necessarily need a 1000cc stunt bike to do all sorts of funny or awesome tricks, and a casual scooter or moped might be just enough to turn some heads. Problem is that riding backwards on a scooter in rather busy traffic comes with way more danger than fun or public recognition.
The young guy in the movie shows off a bit too much, riding his machine backwards and he's got some skills, we'd say: he manages to change lanes without turning back to a more casual riding position and things look just fine.
At least until he notices a vehicle two positions ahead signaling and steering right. It's a fast and praise-worthy reaction to switch positions, but alas, he's not able to brake at all and crashes utterly silly in the car ahead. As he jumps back to his feet, he grabs his head... this no helmet stunt ride could have ended with a coroner van trip, so we'd say he was very, very lucky to walk away.
