Enduro riders from all over the world can quench their thirst for adventure on two wheels at BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2022.
The GS Trophy is an International event, held annually in different parts of the world, which consists of skills tests and challenges in difficult environmental conditions, to determine who has the best GS riders in the world. Various teams combine winners from their home countries, gathering all in one place to compete, but also to live together a unique experience and to share their passion for enduro riding. This year, the competition is set to take place in Albania, with 126 models of the R 1250 GS Trophy Competition, specially built for this event scheduled on 10 September.

Following the BMW F 850 GS used in 2020, this year's competition features the R 1250 GS Trophy Competition with a flat-twin boxer engine, providing beefy torque and maximum traction for rough terrain when a low gear is required. Especially for off-road, the engine is protected by a sturdy aluminum shield, a headlight protection guard, cylinder head covers that are particularly well protected against damage and a TFT display that is secured against damage.

Also, as additional support measures for tough conditions, the robust enduro footrests, adjustable gearshift and footbrake levers were selected. Being an important aspect for a bike, the GS Trophy is equipped with Metzeler Karoo 4 tyres on the cross-spoke wheels for optimal grip. Other features to be mentioned are sports windshield, rally seat and Akrapovic rear silencer.

In terms of exterior design, two-tone paint finish in Lightwhite uni / Gravityblue metallic matt in combination with specially designed GS Trophy stickers highlights the silhouette of the bike. The Small Adventure Collection Tank Bag is also available, for practical storage options.

All riders are encouraged to participate regardless of skill level, with a particular emphasis for not being a racing event.

Considered a legend of Enduro-adventures, the International GS Trophy has been taking place since 2008, on their Hall of Fame being praised countries such as South Africa (First place), France (Second place), and Italy (Third place).
