Below you can watch a motorcycle accident which could have easily ended with the unfortunate rider turned into a pulp smeared all over the highway, mixed with the burning, contorted remnants of his bike. However, the day was not all that bad for this motorcyclist who was enjoying his ride along a highway in the Bahia region in Brazil.
A truck driver cut the bike off without even bothering to check for incoming traffic, or as some say, simply ignoring the approaching motorbike. Parked just outside the highway’s rightmost lane, the truck driver doesn’t seem to care for any incoming traffic from behind and simply does a sharp left turn across the two lanes, passing onto the opposite two, crossing them and exiting on to a work road on the other side of the highway.
The footage comes from a surveillance camera, so the quality is not that good, but you can clearly see the biker braking hard and then leaning on his left side before the moment which could have been the impact with the moving truck. Still, the timing was almost stunt-perfect, as both rider and his machine slid under the truck and got out in one piece on the other side, with the bike apparently sustaining minor damage and the biker literally walking away from the crash.
Now comes the unnerving part, with the truck driver either completely unaware of the crash he caused or simply criminally ignorant as he drives ahead seeing to his own business on the side road. Hopefully the witnesses of this disturbing accident got at least the truck’s plate numbers, if not pursuing and managing to stop him. As for the “reward” the lorry driver deserves… I’ll leave it up to you.
