Rider Inches Away from Terrible Head-On Collision

Things can go very wrong in just instants, even with nobody running the red light at an intersection: a bit of haste and lack of anticipation can have extremely nasty consequences... fortunately, the guy in this video had only a brush with what could have been a fatal encounter.
The camera angle leaves a bit to be desired for explaining the exact trajectory of the small-displacement bike. However, the fault belongs to the rider entirely: since he was steering left, he should have given way to the car and only then continue on his way.

Luckily he managed to brake a bit and thus avoid a head-on impact. Judging by the speed of the car and the impact dynamics, a direct collision would have most likely been fatal, especially with the rider wearing no helmet.

This textbook crash is yet another proof that road and motorcycle safety and licenses should be enforced more strongly, since it only takes a fraction of a second to turn a casual ride in the city into a carnage.
