Jack Frazier, 50, was hit by a San Francisco fire truck earlier this year and sustained massive though non life-threatening injuries after being projected from his bike across the street into a hydrant. As the truck driver was reportedly driving under the influence, Frazier filed a lawsuit against the city, ABC reports.
43-year-old Michael Quinn was driving the SFFD truck and is now under criminal investigation for driving the ladder truck under the influence of alcohol and "with a conscious disregard for the rights and safety of others."
The fire team was responding to a emergency, and was driving with lights and sirens activated as the truck ran the red light, so we might see things coming Frazier's way, too, even though he has sustained several broken ribs, a punctured lung, broken leg, ankle, foot and neck and back injuries.
Quinn was tested 7 hours after the incident and had .13 BAC.
