We believe that pretty much any rider out there has been in this predicament at least once, provided we're referring to guys who ride outside the city. Unfortunately, this is one of the much too common scenarios which end up with a shrug and the all-time favorite SMIDSY (Sorry mate I didn't see you).
We might be less unnerved in case the rider in this video would have simply “jumped” from behind the 4x4, as some other less careful motorcyclists may would have. But after riding half a mile behind the SUV, one could expect that the car driver saw the bike. Or maybe he didn't...
Too bad that such accidents happen by the dozen each day, and some of them have terribly nasty outcomes. And if we take a second to think about them, it's not even necessary that the two vehicles touch each other for tragedy to ensue.
