It goes without saying that extra care is to be exercised when riding in the rain or on wet roads. Well, at least that's what most riders regard as common sense... Others seem to disregard completely the weather conditions and ignore the dramatic changes riding in the wet comes with, and this video shows exactly how bad things can go.
Judging by the footage and the type and color of the gear, we can assume the video shows a lady rider. Anyway, male or female, this has nothing to do with motorcycle safety, and the fact that the rider was traveling at pretty high speed, given the road conditions is clearly the main cause for this hard crash.
The rider was rather lucky as we can see her (or his) head closely missing the back of the truck's bed and bending forward after the impact. Knowing how few scooter riders wear a full-face helmet, this one is really lucky: a full-on faceplant in these conditions would have most likely generated a gruesome outcome.
