There are just three days until one of the most loved annual automotive events will take place on the ground of the famous Goodwood estate, in West Essex, the United Kingdom.
The 2014 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed will therefore take place from the 26th to the 29th of June, with the event to also host the globally-revered Goodwood Hillclimb.

As in any other year, Mercedes-Benz will have a distinct presence at the 2014 Festival of Speed, with the refreshed CLS facelift range to make its first public appearance at the event.

Since most petrolheads out there are probably well knowledgeable about the Goodwood hillclimb event but are not very familiar with how the actual track goes, Mercedes-Benz UK decided to offer everyone a turn-by-turn preview of the course with the help of David Coulthard and a manic SLS AMG of the Black Series variety.

The record for the 1.16 miles (1.87 km) circuit currently belongs to ex-Formula One driver Nick Heidfeld, who blasted up the Goodwood Hill in just 41.6 seconds back in 1999. Fifteen years later, the record sits unbroken, but you never know what the future may bring from this point of view.

With just a few days until Thursday, get your hearts racing by following Coulthard drive the hell out of a SLS AMG Black Series land missile up the hill and comment on each of the turns. He makes it look a bit easier than it probably is, by the way, and that is partly because his track guide commentary is quite soothing compared with the speed he is doing.
