Ride Along a Mercedes-AMG F1 W05 And an E 63 AMG S-Model in 360 Degrees

One of the following cars can be driven by just about anyone with a driving license if their local Mercedes-Benz dealership has it in stock and is willing to lend it for a couple of laps around the block.

The other one costs millions and is largely composed of parts made out of carbon fiber, kevlar, magnesium and unobtainium. In short, only designated drivers such a Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg will ever fit their tooshies inside and trash it around a racing track.

At least this is why every normal person would think after taking a look at the image above. Not anymore though, as Mercedes-Benz UK has recently released some rather interesting footage of both the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG S-Model in T-Modell guise and an F1 W05 grand prix car, each driven by Mercedes-AMG Petronas drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.

Fitted with a camera system not unlike the Google Street View thingamajig, both aforementioned vehicles allow viewers to observe a lap on the Silverstone Circuit from pretty much any angle.

The entire system consists of an array of six cameras that record 40 frames per second and directional microphones, resulting in a truly immersive viewing experience.
