The Goodwood Festival of Speed keeps getting better and better with each year. In 2013, for instance, we’ve seen a full lineup of awesome cars, from the Aston Martin CC100, to the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 and the astoundingly fast Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak.
Last year’s edition also gathered some weird-looking vintage race car, but also saw the 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196 become the most expensive vehicle ever auctioned publicly at nearly $30 million and got some burnout action from a Toyota NASCAR racer.

While the event is still in the works, we know that the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed will be blast. The full list of participants is not available at the time of writing, but the British have already announced some of the drivers and vehicles that will speed up the famous hill.

First on the list are Formula One world champions Emerson Fittipaldi and John Surtees, but nine-time WRC winner Sebastien Loeb will also join the event. Fittipaldi will be driving a McLaren M23 single-seater, while Leob will try and break the hillclimb record in the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak car.

But that’s not all! Racing legends Richard Petty and Al Unser will be fly in straight from the United States to introduce classic American racing to the British. NASCAR’s “King” Petty will showcase his iconic #43 Plymouth Belvedere from the 1967 season, while Unser will drive the 1978 Penske Lola-Cosworth racer in which he won his third Indy 500.

Additionally, visitors will also get some hillclimb action from drivers such as Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen, Emanuele Pirro, Derek Bell, Henri Pescarolo and Mark Webber.

The 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place between June 26-29.
